John Ray & Sons Adds Residential Propane Gas Services

Wednesday, October 1, 2008– John Ray & Sons, one of the Capital District’s oldest fuel suppliers, now offers propane gas services to the greater Capital Region.

“Many people are finding that propane offers an affordable, clean, safe and reliable energy source for their homes and businesses,” said President Ken Ray, the third generation of his family to own and operate the business.

“Propane offers savings over other sources,” he said. “We’re seeing a growing number of consumers turning to propane as a supplementary or even a primary energy source.”

In addition to propane gas delivery, John Ray also offers set up and service installations for propane to power furnaces, water heaters, clothes dryers, stoves, fireplaces and outdoor appliances such as pools, patio heaters and fireplace pits. “When attached to a generator, propane can provide light and warmth during a power outage when other energy sources are not available,” he said.

In addition to the price advantage, Mr. Ray noted that propane is also:
• Clean burning with no odors or residue.
• Non-toxic, with built-in safety properties backed by stringent regulations.

“Our company has always taken great pride on our customer service. And, with an increasing interest among consumers for propane, this is a natural extension to our line of services,” Mr. Ray said.
