Fueling a Cure
Fueling a Cure: John Ray & Sons shows its true colors – pink and white in the race for the Cure.
John Ray & Sons is honored to join the battle against breast cancer. As a century-old company, we have always tried to give back to our community. Over the years, we have done this in many different ways. In October of 2008, we initiated a two-year program, which we call "Fueling a Cure."
Our new pink truck, in Susan G. Komen for the Cure® signature colors, will be a moving billboard and travel a thousand miles a week, delivering fuel oil to homes and businesses in an ten-county area. A portion of the proceeds from each gallon of oil delivered by the truck will benefit the Northeastern New York Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure…and create awareness of the fight against breast cancer. All monies will be used locally.
My grandfather, who built this company, would be honored to see that John Ray & Sons remains a strong community business. My father, John Ray, has always focused on consistency: of service, products, and even the traditional yellow and red colors of our trucks. The new pink color on this one special truck is the start of another John Ray tradition.
The pink and white John Ray truck rotates throughout the nine counties we serve. If you would like to arrange for part of your home fuel to be delivered by the "pink" truck, please call us at 518-272-4432 or contact us at John Ray & Sons.
